The Hostgator hosting price is as shown above. Let say you are subscribing to Baby plan for 1 year, the one shot payment that you need to make is 12 x $9.95 = $119.4. Same calculation applies to 24 months plan by changing the multiplier 12 to 24. Apparently Hostgator encourages a longer contract as they give discount as much as 20% to 36 months contract. Besides the monthly hosting fee, you are required to register domain which will cost you $15/year/domain.

Hostgator Baby and Hatchling are shared hosting plan and they run on Linux operating system. Both hosting plan are pretty standard as compared to other top hosting providers like Bluehost. The difference of these 2 plans is just the number of allowed domains in the account. For Hatchling you can only host 1 domain while for Baby you can host unlimited domains. Apparently Baby hosting plan makes more sense and I highly recommend Baby plan.
For Baby hosting plan, you can have unlimited storage and bandwidth. Meaning you can host as many website as you want provided you register the new domain. You can also set up unlimited databases to cater for your website needs. This is a plus point of Hostgator as compared to Bluehost limiting the amount of databases to 100. You can have unlimited POP3 email accounts with Hostgator too. What you need to do is to create them in cPanel webmail settings. Of cause there are many more features that are impossible to mention one by one here. To cut it short, I suggest you to have a hosting demo with Hostgator.
Like many other web hosting providers, Hostgator uses cPanel. It is because cPanel is a user friendly control panel to manage your web hosting. In Hostgator cPanel you can customize the position of each group of icons. What worth mentioning is Hostgator uses AWStats. It is a real time web statistic tool.
